PARK PAVILION

The project initially involved designing a standard sales showroom for a new urban real estate development on the hilly expanse near Tangamanga Park in San Luis Potosí. However, during the design process, a significant opportunity emerged to reimagine the program. The goal shifted from creating a standalone icon to being part of a larger complex, ensuring adaptability and a lasting impact on the community. The resulting program integrates seamlessly with the site's hilly nature, offering views of the park and city from a viewing terrace at the hill's summit.

Access is strategically positioned at the hilltop, guiding visitors through concrete sculptural walls to a lobby and interior spaces. The building's cross-section mirrors the hill's form, featuring an amphitheater and double-height space for events. Material transitions from solid concrete to a lighter, perforated skin and glass, engaging with natural light.

This innovative design disrupts traditional approaches to site engagement, transforming temporary structures into permanent buildings with clear identity, financial viability, and constant adaptability. The project not only alters how developers engage sites but provides a new perspective on urban development.
