Initially designed as a standard sales showroom for a new urban development near Tangamanga Park in San Luis Potosí, the project evolved into a broader vision. The revised goal transformed it from a standalone icon into an integral part of a larger complex, enhancing its adaptability and community impact.
The design harmonizes with the hilly landscape, positioning access at the summit and guiding visitors through sculptural concrete walls to a lobby and interior spaces. The building’s cross-section reflects the hill’s form, featuring an amphitheater and a double-height event space. The material palette transitions from solid concrete to a lighter, perforated skin and glass, enhancing interaction with natural light.
This approach challenges traditional site engagement, converting temporary structures into permanent buildings with a distinct identity and financial viability. The project offers a fresh perspective on urban development, emphasizing adaptability and a lasting connection to its surroundings.
